Florence “Flo” Kahuhu is a Nairobi-born writer, actor, and dancer in the final year of her graduate Writing program. A natural storyteller fluent in three languages, Flo explores narratives through fiction, non-fiction, food, and music. Her creative passions extend beyond the page—she’s equally at home on stage and in the studio. When she’s not writing or performing, you’ll find her buried in a book, binge-watching anime, hitting the gym, or chasing spontaneous adventures.
Kate Mann is a senior Illustration major with a minor in Graphic Design. Born and raised in the Turks and Caicos Islands, she’s a lover of travel and a good beach day. She enjoys traditional mediums like acrylic but leans more digital when it comes to illustration at SCAD. If she’s not drawing or traveling, you’ll find her baking or binge-watching TV.
Elisa Boulton is a junior majoring in Advertising and Branding with a focus in Art Direction. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, she serves as the Creative Director of SCAN Magazine. Fun fact: If you ever need someone to solve a murder documentary before the second episode, she’s your girl. Elisa is a total True Crime junkie.
Adriana Colón Negrón is a Graphic Design Senior from Corozal, Puerto Rico. Her passions lie in college, design history, and discovering new creative projects and collaborations. In her free time, Adriana enjoys searching for figurines and exploring new sweet cafes.
Cashmere Chillious is a senior Writing and Art History student, born and raised on the beachside in Tampa, Florida. She’s a lover of science fiction and writes creepy, weird stories that make her audience squirm! While writing is her passion, editing is a way for her to help other writers and fuel her need for meticulous work.
Clare Seymour is a Motion Designer in her final year of graduate school. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she completed her undergraduate at Georgia Tech before starting at SCAD. As a creative, Clare enjoys blurring the line between analog and digital mediums. Though her one true love has always been writing. Outside of academics, she loves hiking, soccer, and spending time with all her pets.
Essence Quigley is a third-year Animation major and Illustration minor from Texas. She enjoys video games, painting, and watching anime. She’s a big nerd about politics and passionate about telling stories that inspire a more progressive future.
Jordan Yates is a senior Photography major with a minor in Art History. Being born and raised in Washington, D.C., Jordan developed a love for traveling the world and exploring digital mediums. Through his camera lens, he explores connections between people, places, and culture over time.
Dominic is a Creative Writing major who expects to graduate in 2026. Originally from Macon, Georgia, she grew up in Ellenwood, Georgia, before coming to Atlanta for SCAD. She enjoys the critical thinking aspect of writing and indulges in substance-filled conversations. Outside of writing, Dominic loves spending time with her family, playing with her dog, shopping, and enjoying new experiences. Though what truly ignites her spirit is traveling.
Jalyn Parker is a Writing MFA student from Baltimore, Maryland. She believes that writing is freedom. She says, “Writing allows me to deepen my connection with people and self. It opens my mind, allowing me to understand the layers of life.” Her favorite mode of transcription is lined paper and a pen. She’s a strong advocate of the cuisine from her hometown. If she isn’t at an art museum or walking a trail, she’s home eating a Chicken Box, 4-piece wings and fries, salt, pepper, ketchup while watching “Little Women,” her favorite movie.
Grace Kristo is a senior Fashion Marketing and Management major and Fashion Design minor from Wisconsin. She’s passionate about making a positive, sustainable impact in the fashion industry. Grace’s interest in social media marketing and PR led her to The Connector. Outside of school and fashion, Grace can typically be found reading a book, hanging with friends, taking photos, playing with her dogs, or cuddling with her cat.
